So easy to clean

Does everything you could ask for. Love being able to transition from stove-top to oven. Cleans like a charm. Awesome heat distribution. Needed something smaller than a 5-quart capacity and was thrilled when it arrived. Bonus: the color perfectly matches a previous amazon basics purchase I made of a larger capacity piece. This beauty is a keeper.

bummed

I've been wanting a red 5-qt. Dutch Oven and when this came on a great lightening sale with just a few minutes left I quickly scanned the comments without investigating too carefully and ordered it. When it was delivered, I could barely carry it into the house. I had no idea it would be so heavy. I can barely lift it empty and can't image how I would handle it full of food. As a weak senior citizen, this is an issue. It's too heavy to take to the post office for a return and UPS wants $20.00 to come and get it. You know the old saying: act in haste and repent in leisure. I'm sure it's a very nice pot and I really like how it looks.

Simply gorgeous

I had mixed thoughts when I purchased this item, but I'm glad I did. After reading MANY reviews of other brands and debating whether or not to go with the much higher priced French brand, I decided to go with this one. This is my first enameled cast iron piece and I'm really looking forward to doing a good amount of stovetop to oven cooking with this little beauty. This is 3.7 quart and it's pretty big; in the images, you can see my rolling pin and tiles in the background for a size reference.
Pros:
MUCH less expensive than the brand name
No chips, scratches or warping
The enamel on the outside seems well applied, as does the inside enamel
The lid has those little rounded spikes for moisture to drip back down during the cooking to preserve moisture in the dish.
Cons:
The metal lid is kind of sharp on the edges, not really very rounded. For me, this is a minor quibble and does not impact my rating because I can replace the knob if it truly bothers me and I will have oven mitts on when I handle the lid normally (and there's a good amount of knob to grab with oven-mitted hands).

The other main complaint I see in other reviews is the enamel cracking and peeling away from the cast iron, making the pan unusable. If that happens, I will come back and update this review.
